" i can't, but if i dalang will forgive me i will garnt the gift of melukat ( putify with tirta ) to protect anyone born on tumpek wayang. "therefore, i mangku dalang was able to save hyang rare kumara. siwa and uma were very pleased by this turn of event. ever since pregnant woman and babies born on tumpek wayang receive melukat by ida pedanda or i mangku to be free from the pestering of sang kala.

Rajapala
Hunting in the forest one fine day, rajapala came to a picturesque river, and then, attracted by the sound of laughter, he was delightfully surprise to find, around a hidden natural pound beyond a bend, seven exquisite young women bathing. desiring one of them as wife, he took one of the robes hung by the river.these maidens were none other than dedari bathing before returning to heaven. the last one left was crying because the own allowing her to fly had disappeared.

Rajapala came and she called out of him : " o handsome young man, i am edari ken sulasih ". aloof he said : " o beautiful young one what is the matter ? " "i was bathing here disrobed, would you not have, by any chance, found my arments, i will gladly trade for gold, money and rubies. " he laughs, " what is money for, if there is no store ? why wear gold or jewels, if there is no one looking ? this is the jungle it would be better to marry me !" she replied : " i felt that you would ask for the most sacred that i have. yes brother if you so must ! but do not think marriage is all pleasure, there is sorrow too, in return i ask, that once a first child is born i may go home ". he pleaded : " could you not add half more ? that would be upsetting to be forsaken with only one son, but i will deal with that later, i want you now. " to which she countered. " slow down please, you scare me !" some years later durma was born but still, the gown was not returned…. seven more years passed before she discovered it hidden in the lumbung and left for heaven.

I Lacur
There once was a very poor orphan living in a small bamboo shack. he was well behaved and very active, kept is yard clean and liked to help people. although his friends often did him wrong he had never sought revenge.one day on his way to get vegetables, his friends came, started to tease him, right then a kite fell in a tree near by. they all ran to get it. the first to climb was i klaleng, followed by his friends, reaching for the kite he fell and passed out. i lacur carried him home to his parents, who, grateful wanted to give him some money. not accepting it, he went on his way. he the saw an old lady carrying a basket laden with ketela ( cassava ), he carried it for her to her house, in return she gave him a few of the roots. happy he went home to cook and to make sesaji to offer to ida sang hyang widhi wasa in thankfulness and gratitude.

some time later, traveling trough the forest, he came across a nice house, surrounded by beautiful flowers. while he was standing there contemplating, the owner, ki dukuh sakti came out to invite him in, later offering him to stay. ki dukuh taught him how to read and write. diligent he soon became quite clever and ki dukuh decided to teach him the art of healing.

one day the news came about ida radeb galuh, the king's daughter, being feverish from snakebite and no one was able to cure her. ki dukuh sent i lacur to the much-crowded puri ( palace ). i lavcur was ridiculed by the king's entourage, but the king himself granted him audience and whished him success. without further ado, he started treating raden galuh using the herbs and mantra given to him by his mentor ki dukuh. she promptly recovered, feeling healthy and strong again.grateful, the king gave i lacur sawah, kebun dan rumah, ( rice fileds, gardens and a house ) as a token of appreciation. the king also gave him a new name : i subagia.

Jayaprana
In the village of kalianget, buleleng lived a powerful king although not always fair to his people, in contrast to his most faithful servant jayaprana, a popular young man, whom had good manners and many friends. because of his charming personality, jayaprana met with a very sumptuous young woman. they fell in love with each other and soon married. most felt that they were the perfect couple… except maybe for the king who was so smitten that he yearned to have her for himself.

Out on envy for his wife, he sent jayaprana on mission to west bali deliver a sealed letter. obliged to obey his king, he went home to tell his wife. she pleaded with him to send someone else because she had dreamed of danger of him. reassuring her that he was going with a trustworthy escort, he departed on the long journey.the letter delivered charged yajaprana of treason, describing him as being dangerous and plotting to destroy his kingdom and because of is influence and many supporters the king is soliciting the recipient to help kill him. jayaprana and his loyal friends fought well and with honor but were heavily out numbered and lost the battle.

later the king, pretending being dismayed by the tragedy, tried to comfort the widow : " oh ! beautiful one ! please, do not be distressed ! i will marry you and take good care of you. you will be my queen and i will give you everything you wish." alas, for the king's hope, she preferred suicide to marrying him. from her body emanated perfume and she became know as layon sari ( layon means corpse and sari essence or scent ).

the gravesite still exists in teluktrima, buleleng, and it is believed that if fiancés visit it they will not get to be married. some say that the king later went crazy and killed all his servants, because he was seeing them as deer.
